The Global Game Collective

Pelé called it The Beautiful Game.

We see it as a universal language - across borders, cultures, classes, religions…get a ball and a field - and people will play.

The Global Game Collective is a groundbreaking new way to experience a ‘soccer camp’. Welcoming young adult to adult players, from anywhere in the world to sign up and meet us in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru for a week of soccer in its purest form;

on jungle fields on the banks of the mighty Amazon River, in the intense heat, humidity and rain, with local players in bare feet and the passion and joy for the game that you may have lost sight of -

PLUS : as the Founding Team, you get to participate in the first ever SMALL WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT with local teams and families that will travel by canoe to gather at a village for a full day of games, music, food, dancing, and more!

Are you up for the adventure of a lifetime?

You get a jump-start on your summer soccer training AND…

  • A Custom, Curated, All-Inclusive Itinerary

Carefully designed by Lucy and expert local guides, the week will be a perfect balance of team-building, soccer conditioning, playing with locals, adventures, reflection, and maybe even some surprises!

Each trip is led by Lucy and 2-3 of Explorama’s (the eco-tourism lodge we will stay at) guides, while staying at Explorama’s incredible jungle lodges - getting to experience everything from the rustic jungle experience to a ‘luxury resort’ with A/C and a swimming pool (with a slide).

  • Connection with a Global Community of Soccer

One of the moments that sparked the creation of this program, was when I was accompanying a group of older adults visiting Explorama to an excursion. I was sitting in the back of the boat, and a tiny hand carved canoe buzzed towards us. In it were two boys - one probably around 15 and the other maybe 8. They both had on soccer jerseys and immediately noticed that one of the tourists on our boat was wearing a jersey from the same team…their faces lit up as they waved and cheered.

This program is designed to bring people together and form long lasting impact and relationships.

    Be part of the collective.

  • Once in a Lifetime Jungle Adventures

Are you looking for more fun facts to add to your bank for those dreaded team building exercises? Or want to stump everyone with your ‘two truths and a lie’ with a crazy truth that no one will believe?

To give yourself a break in between soccer conditioning, practices, and games…we will fill our days with activities like piranha fishing, swimming in the Amazon River, nighttime boat rides, hiking to the canopy walkway to see the jungle from a birds eye view, visiting a monkey sanctuary, getting temporary tattoos from a Shaman, visiting a floating bar, and much more!

You have a Question?

We (might) have an answer!

I am an experienced Soccer Coach and would love to join in a Coaching Capacity - is that possible?

We will only have a couple spots open for coaches, and priority will be given to those who speak Spanish so they are also able to engage with local players! Please email us at theglobalgamecollective@gmail.com, or fill out our Contact Form on the home page with information about your experience and we will follow up!

Are there any vaccine requirements?

We recommend discussing your personal needs with your doctor and checking your country’s recommendations through the government health organization.

The Amazon Rainforest does have dengue fever and malaria present.

Is there access to healthcare if I get hurt?

First and foremost, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance just in case.

While we will be in some remote, jungle locations Explorama is very privileged to support a local clinic which is very close to 2 of the lodges (Explorama Lodge and Ceiba Tops Lodge), there is also a hospital in Indiana, which can accessible from ExplorNapo Lodge - where there is also a resident Shaman- and there are large hospitals in Iquitos.

I have a food allergy/food restrictions - will I be able to eat anything?

We will do our best to accommodate to all allergy and dietary needs! There is always a few options for every meal, and if nothing works for you the amazing chefs at each location can make food to order to fit your needs. That being said, the lodges do their best to serve local food, so we may not be able to promise a huge variety of custom meals!

Please email us at theglobalgamecollective@gmail.com or fill out the Contact Form on our home page if you have any specific concerns prior to signing up. If you are signing up, there is a form where you can let us know of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or food preferences.
